NMS is proud to announce that it has been honored with the Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA) Contractor of the Year for Safety Performance award for the third year in a row. This recognition underscores NMS’s unwavering commitment to safety and excellence within Alaska’s oil and gas industry.

The Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA) is a leading trade organization dedicated to representing the interests of the oil and gas sector in Alaska. AOGA’s primary mission is to promote and advocate for the responsible development of Alaska’s valuable oil and gas resources.

NMS secured this prestigious accolade for its exemplary work at the Badami unit on behalf of Glacier Oil and Gas. In 2022, NMS achieved an outstanding safety record at Badami, with zero lost time incidents and no recordable incidents reported. This remarkable accomplishment stands in stark contrast to the industry standard rate for 2022, which stood at 3.2 incidents.

Notably, this marks the third consecutive year that NMS has earned the AOGA Contractor of the Year for Safety Performance award. In 2021, the company received a nomination from Hilcorp, and in 2022, it was nominated by ConocoPhillips, reinforcing NMS’s reputation for excellence and safety within the industry.

Cathleen Mala, who serves as Director of Operations for NMS’s camp services division, was present to receive the award. Cathleen plays a pivotal role in overseeing work sites on the North Slope and various remote locations in Alaska. Additionally, she is among NANA’s many proud shareholders.

Jeremy Wagner, NMS’s Senior Director of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), was also in attendance. With a 14-year tenure at NMS, Jeremy’s journey with the company began as a maintenance lead on the North Slope. Jeremy’s field experience brings depth of knowledge of the unique safety challenges of the North Slope. He works closely with Operations to ensure high safety protocols and procedures. This collaboration leads to streamlined processes, optimized workflows, and a more efficient overall operation.

This prestigious award not only recognizes NMS’s dedication to safety but also highlights the integral role that safety plays in the company’s core operations. NMS continues to lead by example, setting a high standard for safety excellence in the oil and gas industry.

NMS is honored to receive this award and remains committed to prioritizing safety in all aspects of its operations. This recognition serves as a testament to NMS’s leadership in responsible oil and gas development in the state of Alaska. Congratulations to the entire NMS team on this outstanding achievement!
